OUR SALVATION ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES

Contrary to common and popular beliefs concerning salvation which rely on man’s own good works; the following verses will prove that our salvation is purely of God’s grace and mercy, and not according to our own making.

(Mark 7:6-7) 6 He said to them: “Isaiah aptly prophesied about YOU hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honor me with [their] lips, but their hearts are far removed from me. 7 It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach as doctrines commands of men.. . .

Did you scrutinize your beliefs if those are doctrines of men? Maybe you are worshiping in vain unknowingly.

(Ephesians 2:8-9) 8 By this undeserved kindness, indeed, YOU have been saved through faith; and this not owing to YOU, it is God’s gift. 9 No, it is not owing to works, in order that no man should have ground for boasting.

If you believe that your good works will save you then, you are boastful and hopeless.

(Titus 3:5-7) 5 owing to no works in righteousness that we had performed, but according to his mercy he saved us through the bath that brought us to life and through the making of us new by holy spirit. 6 This [spirit] he poured out richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that, after being declared righteous by virtue of the undeserved kindness of that one, we might become heirs according to a hope of everlasting life.

(Romans 3:22-24) . . .. 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom [paid] by Christ Jesus. . .

According to the book of Isaiah; our good works are like dirty rags or garments due to our sins…….. ( Isaiah 64:6) in the eyes of our Lord. What then; does it mean that we no longer need to do good works for it is worthless? No, it’s not worthless. However, that’s the very reason why God created us-to do good works..

(Ephesians 2:10) 10 For we are a product of his work and were created in union with Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in them. . .

Since, salvation is a gift of God, it’s free-without charge; man’s part is only to accept Jesus Christ as his Redeemer. Accept Him with this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I accepted that I have sinned and needed your forgiveness. I repented all of my sins and accepted you as my Lord and Savior. I will commit my whole life to you. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

My friend, by accepting Jesus Christ at this very moment; you are now saved…

(2 Corinthians 6:2) 2 For he says: “In an acceptable time I heard you, and in a day of salvation I helped you.” Look! Now is the especially acceptable time. Look! Now is the day of salvation.

the Last Apostle

The Apostle for Our Times

The Bible mentioned of two groups of people when addressing a certain message especially of salvation: the Jews and Non-Jews-also known as Gentiles.

Because of these two people groups; God also sent two messengers, one for each group. First, St Peter to proclaim the gospel to the Jews and, later was St Paul deliver the gospel to the Gentiles. We can read that in Paul’s letter to the Galatians 2:7.

Saint Paul, who was the persecutor of the early Christians, was chosen by Jesus Christ himself to proclaim His Mighty Name; first to the Gentiles:

(Acts 9:15) 15 But the Lord said to him: “Be on your way, because this man is a chosen vessel to me to bear my name to the gentiles as well as to kings and the sons of Israel.

Then, what was the gospel revealed by Jesus Christ to Paul? This is the good news for our salvation by the Grace of God through our faith in His Begotten Son. It was confirmed on the following verses:

(Romans 3:24-25) 24 and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom [paid] by Christ Jesus. 25 God set him forth as an offering for propitiation through faith in his blood. . .

(Romans 5:1-2) 5 Therefore, now that we have been declared righteous as a result of faith, let us enjoy peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have gained our approach by faith into this undeserved kindness in which we now stand; and let us exult, based on hope of the glory of God. . .

(Romans 6:23) 23 For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord. . .

(Ephesians 2:8-9) 8 By this undeserved kindness, indeed, YOU have been saved through faith; and this not owing to YOU, it is God’s gift. 9 No, it is not owing to works, in order that no man should have ground for boasting. . .

Since we are Gentiles in the eyes of God then; we must accept the assigned apostle to us. And that was Saint Paul with the revealed gospel designed for us Gentiles for our time.

Our Present Condition

(Romans 3:19) 19 Now we know that all the things the Law says it addresses to those under the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become liable to God for punishment. . .

(Romans 3:19-20) . . .. 20 Therefore by works of law no flesh will be declared righteous before him, for by law is the accurate knowledge of sin.

(Romans 3:23) 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. . .

(Ephesians 2:5) 5 made us alive together with the Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses—by undeserved kindness YOU have been saved. . .

Due to our Relationship with Christ

(Acts 10:42-43) . . .. 43 To him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone putting faith in him gets forgiveness of sins through his name. . .

(2 Corinthians 5:18-19) 18 But all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of the reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was by means of Christ reconciling a world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and he committed the word of the reconciliation to us.

(2 Corinthians 5:17) 17 Consequently if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away, look! new things have come into existence.. . .

(Romans 8:16-17) 16 The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 If, then, we are children, we are also heirs: heirs indeed of God, but joint heirs with Christ, provided we suffer together that we may also be glorified together. . .

Our Road to Salvation

(John 3:35-36) . . .. 36 He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

(John 3:16) 16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.

(Ephesians 2:8-9) 8 By this undeserved kindness, indeed, YOU have been saved through faith; and this not owing to YOU, it is God’s gift. 9 No, it is not owing to works, in order that no man should have ground for boasting.

(Titus 3:5) 5 owing to no works in righteousness that we had performed, but according to his mercy he saved us through the bath that brought us to life and through the making of us new by holy spirit.

(2 Corinthians 6:2) 2 For he says: “In an acceptable time I heard you, and in a day of salvation I helped you.” Look! Now is the especially acceptable time. Look! Now is the day of salvation.

Apostle for our time

About Saint Paul

Saint Paul was not only a religious figure of exceptional power but he was one of the outstanding makers of history. This man profoundly influenced people of widely divergent beliefs, races and epochs.

Without the spiritual earthquake brought about by St. Paul, Christianity may never have survived. Yet Paul’s importance extends way beyond the religious field. His effect upon Western thought has been immeasurable.

Paul’s own authentic voice can still be heard in his surviving Epistles, which not only contain numerous autobiographical clues, but are the earliest Christian documents in existence and rank high among the most valuable literature the world has ever produced.

Paul is a line drawer. He draws a line between the Jews and non-Jews or Gentiles. If you follow the teachings of Apostle Paul; then the seeming contradictions in the Bible that seems to bother almost majority of the Christians are instantly solved.

Apostle Paul revealed to us the mystery. He unveiled to us the answer of the puzzle. He declared to us the Amazing Grace of God - The Wonderful Masterplan of God for our Salvation. This is the Bible Code.
